My recent golfing excursion was not what you’d typically expect it to be. Actually, I found it far more exciting than just playing a round of golf.

One of the things that I love about working in the Tampa Bay area is the variety of location looks. In particular is the ability to replicate the feel of the island without the expense of traveling there.

I go to Pinky’s Diner often because it has really good coffee with a funky vibe and a friendly attitude. This series of vignettes created for Cary and Jacob Shirai (proprietors), captures the details that make visiting so special and always intriguing. If you’re in the area, stop in and say hey.

One of my favorite spots in the heart of Tampa is a hidden gem called Lambert Farm. I stop buy from time to time and buy some honey and fresh eggs. The bees live inside an old delivery truck, with pens of pigs, cows and chickens all around and the vegetable garden is always flourishing. You know, it’s cool to see someone in a suburban setting really living from the fruit of the earth.

There’s nothing quite like an impromptu trip to the mountains to balance out the hubbub of everyday life. The drive to North Carolina seemed quick, even though it was 12 hours from Tampa. I felt exhilarated, yet relaxed, surrounded by beautiful mountains.
